Born in Cuba around 1650 to combat scurvy and some other nasties, this cocktail did not earn its name for many years later. The etymology is unclear but stemming from some indigenous words meaning “wet” and “with lime”.
Ours is wet and clarified. Just add ice and soda. Put something green in it if you're feeling fancy.
375mL serves 6 generous cocktails and 700mL around 10 (depending on your pour, mood and thirsty friends!)
